2010-2011 LMSA Programs:

1. Tutoring: Drexel Medical students tutor high school and 3rd grade students at the ASPIRA after school program in North Philly (weekly).


2. Community Health Presentations: Bilingual presentations on requested health issues are given to leaders of the Huntington Neighborhood (monthly).


3. Latino Heritage Month: Sabor Latino – For Latino Heritage Month (once a year), LMSA DUCOM students make a authentic Latino dish to share with other students. At the event, posters, and slideshows discussing prominent Latino historical figures are displayed.


4. Spanish Lunch Table: Students of all Spanish language proficiency levels spend lunch break speaking in Spanish with other medical students (weekly).


5. LMSA-Medical School Collaborate Socials: LMSA DUCOMjoins other LMSA-NE chapters in the Philadelphia area to network, discuss, and socialize (twice annually).


6. National Conference: Two members of LMSA-DUCOM attend the LMSA National Conference (annually).


7. Collaborate Fundraisers with other Medical Organizations (SNMA, etc.): As the need arises, ex: Chilean and Haitian earthquake, LMSA DUCOM collaborate with other Drexel clubs to raise money for those in need.
